    NHS Sales Director – 6 months – East Midlands

     

    My NHS client in the East Midlands is looking to recruit a Sales Director for a 6 Month contract.

     

    The candidate must have/be able to:

     

    - Develop new business opportunities & maximising existing business.

    - Pursue new business from both NHS & private sectors

    - Assist directors across the trust to develop commercial ventures.

    - Develop strategy to develop sales and relationships

    - Commercial senior management experience

    - Experience of working with GPs

    - Sales advanced qualifications or equivalent.

    Why would the NHS need a Sales Director? Surely, if a hospital or trust runs short of work (which I suspect happens rarely) they would just import ill people from another area or start on lower-priority work, wouldn't they? It's not as if there's a shortage of demand that might force hospitals to compete for business.
